Lion Lookout
I had been following this tree climbing female lioness in the Masai Mara for a number of years now. She would occasionally climb trees in the afternoons to escape the heat and flies. Seeing a lioness in a tree is not something I often get to see and this afternoon I was rewarded when in the heat of the late afternoon she once again climbed into a beautiful acacia tree. The perfect scene with lioness posing in the iconic tree on the vast open East African plains.
